Evegate Business Park is unique for its pretty rural setting and attractive selection of buildings, home to office, retail and service units. Set around charming courtyards and amongst Kent’s beautiful countryside, Evegate’s varied and tasteful buildings are what characterise this popular business park for tenants and guests alike.
The Courtyard is at the centre of Evegate Business Park’s rustic setting. Encompassing a converted farm building including a converted cart shed and oast houses, The Courtyard was at the forefront of Evegate’s diversification when it opened in 1987. A pretty stone building with charming characteristics, the Courtyard has four retail units home to businesses like the Old English Rose florist, Ibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo boutique and Ottewill Silversmiths and Jewellers, and five service units which include Barbara-Ann Clark Fine Foods & Delicatessen who also benefit from an outdoor seating area, Evegate Health and Beauty Clinic, String Wind Repairs, Harrison Hair Team and Lee Robinson Photography.
Kent is famed for its picturesque oast houses, formerly used to dry hops, and Evegate has its own original oast houses which form part of The Courtyard. Formerly the family run farm shop and coffee shop, which opened in 1979, today the Oast House consists of one office unit and three retail units. The Oast House has the benefit of having a private entrance and meeting room.
Park Barn is Evegate’s beautiful converted barn. Formerly a tannery previously based in the centre of Ashford, Park Barn was sensitively restored at Evegate Business Park in 1991. Situated on the edge of Evegate’s rolling fields with views of both the Kent countryside and the rest of Evegate, Park Barn comprises 21 offices over four floors. Tenants at Park Barn benefit from shared kitchen and toilet facilities, lift access, a conference room and post collection. The units at Park Barn range from 250 sq ft to 1,500 sq ft, with the option to combine units as required. There is ample car parking spaces close to the building for tenant ease.
Park Grange is a tastefully designed stone and timber building opened in 1998 featuring its own original feature red telephone box which in the future will become a micro library. Home to The Dog House, Evegate’s own micro pub, Park Grange is a mix of six office units home to financial advisors Pentagon IFA and children crafts activity centre Dreamshapes Crafts, and six retail units that includes Evegate’s nursery and Pop Up Party Planning. Spread over two floors, the offices benefit from shared kitchen and toilet facilities, and the retail units have their own toilets.
The Gatehouse is a fine example of Evegate’s adaptability and willingness to cater for tenant demand. Specifically built for the Montgomery Veterinary Clinic whose previous Evegate’s premises became too small for this growing successful business, the Gatehouse was opened in August 2014 with a purpose built vets on the lower floor and a self-contained residences for Evegate’s onsite groundsman on the upper floor. The Gatehouse is situated at the entrance of Evegate with direct parking spaces for ease of the Montgomery Veterinary Clinic’s customers.
Hembrow is Evegate’s newest building which was built to meet tenant demand and is in keeping with the rest of this tranquil but buzzing business park. Due to be completed in June 2015, this fine-looking timber clad building will consist of two service and three office units spread over two floors with private kitchens and shared toilet facilities, with bridal wear The Robing Room and Bespoke Permanent Make Up being residents. The Hembrow also houses showers, and a biomass pellet boiler and sedum roof which add to Evegate’s green credentials by minimising energy usage.
Merchant is the next building to be built at Evegate. The same size as the Hembrow, the Merchant will provide a second idyllic courtyard for visitors and tenants to relax in.
